A great proportion of Scripture is definitely stated to consist of the Word of God. The phrase ‘Thus saith the Lord,’ and similar phrases ‘are found 3808 times in the Old Testament.’1 In fact, ‘God said’, ‘the Lord said’, ‘God spoke’ and similar statements occur ‘over 700 times in the Pentateuch.
